Asian Elephants are found predominantly in Thailand, India, and Sri Lanka, with very small populations as far away as Bhutan.

The elephants photographed in this series live in Chiang Rai at the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation in a heavily jungled part of Northern Thailand known as the Golden Triangle, the crossroads of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar.

The elephants are in three locations: Main Elephant Camp on the grounds of the Anantara Resort; the Four Seasons elephants live in the grounds of the Tented Camp, and the babies live in Baby Camp which is a mpving camp based on wet or dry season.

John Roberts, Director of Elephants, maintains control with Amp, the Mahout Leader. Amp and John beetle from from camp to camp on their motorbikes, ensuring all runs smoothly.
